Level 1
Start by matching the same top colours and use the empty bottle as your first buffer.
Play this levelPractical guidance for the 30 browser levels on WaterSort.in. Use the hint for the exact next move, or use these notes to understand the decision behind each level.
These are decision notes, not claimed move-by-move transcripts. The browser game can change the current position as you play, so an exact sequence copied from a different state can be misleading. Start with the level, inspect its top colours and empty capacity, then use the note below as a checkpoint when you get stuck.
Example 1 — protect the empty bottle. If two top colours can be matched, prefer the match that leaves a completely empty bottle available. The empty bottle can accept a different colour later, while a partly filled buffer immediately becomes more restrictive.
Example 2 — expose before you consolidate. Suppose a useful colour is buried underneath a single top unit. Moving that top unit to a legal destination can be better than completing an unrelated bottle, because it reveals the next decision without consuming your remaining buffer.
Example 3 — compare the next move. When two legal pours look equally good, do not judge them by the amount of liquid moved. After each candidate pour, ask how many legal destinations remain for the newly exposed top colour. The candidate with more useful follow-up choices is usually safer.
Start by matching the same top colours and use the empty bottle as your first buffer.
Play this levelMake the obvious matching pour first, then use the second empty bottle to expose the buried colour.
Play this levelConsolidate one colour before opening another stack. Avoid filling both empty bottles too early.
Play this levelKeep one bottle completely empty whenever possible; it gives you room to reverse a temporary pour.
Play this levelFinish the colour with the smallest number of separated fragments first.
Play this levelCount the free spaces before every pour. The safest move is the one that preserves a buffer.
Play this levelExpose the buried matching colour without blocking the other top colour you still need.
Play this levelUse partial pours deliberately: moving one visible unit can unlock the whole stack underneath.
Play this levelBuild one completed bottle while keeping the other empty bottle available for transfers.
Play this levelIf two pours look possible, choose the one that reduces the number of colour fragments.
Play this levelWork backwards from a colour you can nearly complete, but do not consume your only buffer.
Play this levelClear the top layer that blocks the largest useful stack before consolidating smaller fragments.
Play this levelUse the empty bottle as a staging area rather than filling it permanently.
Play this levelProtect any colour that appears in several bottles; it is usually the easiest route to losing free space.
Play this levelAfter each pour, re-count the free capacity before committing to the next chain.
Play this levelPrioritise moves that uncover a matching colour underneath another stack.
Play this levelAvoid trapping a single colour underneath a full bottle. Keep at least one recovery route open.
Play this levelWhen a bottle has two matching units on top, consolidate them before disturbing the deeper layers.
Play this levelUse a temporary split only when it immediately creates more useful free space.
Play this levelLook for the colour with the fewest remaining fragments and finish that colour first.
Play this levelDo not rush the first available match. Harder boards depend on preserving a future buffer.
Play this levelPlan two or three pours ahead and check where the exposed colour will land after each step.
Play this levelA temporary pour is useful only if it exposes a new move or increases usable free space.
Play this levelKeep track of which colours are split across the most bottles; these usually control the board.
Play this levelFinish a bottle only when doing so does not remove the buffer you need for the remaining colours.
Play this levelIf the board starts tightening, undo the last irreversible-looking move before creating another full stack.
Play this levelCompare candidate pours by their next available moves, not just by how much liquid they move now.
Play this levelWork from the most constrained colour outward and preserve an empty destination for the final transfers.
Play this levelBefore a chain pour, verify that every receiving bottle has enough capacity for the next exposed colour.
Play this levelTreat the final empty bottle as a resource: keep it open until the remaining fragments can be consolidated safely.
